Prepare The Soil

The foundation of any healthy plant is good soil. Start by loosening the soil to allow better air flow and water drainage. Mix in organic compost or natural fertilizers to enrich it with the nutrients your plants need to grow. Healthy soil helps roots develop deep and strong.

Loosen The Soil: Before planting, break up compacted soil to improve aeration and drainage. Roots need space to spread and access oxygen.

Add Organic Matter: Mix in compost, manure, or peat moss to enrich the soil with essential nutrients and improve its water retention.

Check Soil PH: Different plants prefer different pH levels. Use a soil test kit to check acidity and alkalinity, and amend accordingly with lime (to raise pH) or sulfur (to lower pH).
Remove Weeds And Debris: Clear the area of any weeds, rocks, or leftover roots that may compete with your plants for nutrients.

Choose Quality Potting Mix: For container plants, use a light, well-draining potting mix designed for your specific plant type.

Ensure Proper Drainage: If planting in containers, make sure pots have drainage holes to prevent waterlogging and root rot.
